Quran to be Released in Serbian

The Serbian translator of Nahjolbalagheh Aleksandra Dragović will finish translating Quran into Serbian presently. The work will be published by Iran’s cultural attaché office in Serbia.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Dragović said he is gathering data for rendering the holy book into Serbian. He has also tried to create a special classification according to terms.

“The first Serbian translation was made in 1789 by a Serbian priest. I want to translate the book into Serbian now in order to introduce the true Islam and Quran’, he added.

Dragović works as the chief editor of the publication center of Iran's cultural office in Belgrade and has translated Sahifeh Sadjadiyeh and Nahjolbalagheh into Serbian.

He converted in Islam about 20 years ago and spent three years in Iran's Qom seminary.

Dragović received the World Book Award of the Islamic Republic of Iran last week for his Nahjolbalagheh translation.
