(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A Shia leader of Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqa Jafaria (movement for implementation of Jafaria Jurisprudence), Sardar Ali Asghar, 60, was killed when unidentified assassin opened fire at him here on Tuesday(today) at Qissa Khawani Bazaar while he was on way to his shop, FRC learnt.Officials of Khan Raziq Police Station while talking to FRC said that local leader of Fiqa Jafria movement was on the way to his tea shop, situated in Qissa Khwani Bazaar in morning when unidentified miscreants opened indiscriminate fire at him resultantly injuring him seriously. He succumbed to his injuries while on the way to the nearby Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.A large number of Shia community members rushed to the hospital after knowing about the incident and staged a symbolic protest by chanting slogans against the provincial government for not taking any action for the arrest of the attackers.It merits mentioning here that incidents of target killings of Shia community members has escalated in the metropolis as four such nature attacks were reported in the month of January 2014.Few hundred yards away from the murder scene, few days ago hand grenade attacks on Picture House Cinema hall killed five viewers while leaving more than thirty people injured.Qissa Khwani Bazaar has witnessed many deadliest attacks in past that killed dozens of people including ANP provincial leader Bashir Ahmad Bailour./149
