Bahrain Opposition Parties: Dissolving Clerics Islamic Council is a vindictive and politicised decision

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The National democratic Opposition parties in Bahrain have strongly denounced the vindictive and politicized decision to dissolve the Clerics Islamic council, punishing it for its pro-democracy stances that support the legitimate demands of the people of Bahrain. The oppositions parties stated that, “The dissolving of the council will threaten the peace and security of the country and lead to more unrest.”“The opposition parties in Bahrain were taken by surprise at the vindictive decision taken against the clerics council, as the Justice Minister had been calling to stop the council’s activities but not dissolving it.” The opposition added.The opposition pointed out that such a decision reveals the authority’s intolerant mentality that cannot deal with any different views and exposes the fake claims of democracy that are raised by the regimes public relation firms in all media and international forums.The decision to dissolve the Clerics Islamic Council compounds the difficulties and blocks any way to any future reform developments. This confirms that any serious dialogue needs a transitional government and the dismissal of this government which persists in human rights violations and scaling freedoms.The opposition forces called for the masses to deal with awareness at this unjust decision, and not to be dragged into the motives that underly the move, that intend to lead the country into sectarian strife.
