New Title Considers Hussein Nasr’s Views on Islamic Philosophy

Azam Ghasemi has compiled a collection of her articles about Seyyed Hussein Nasr’s ideas and views on Islamic philosophy and the current chaotic conditions in the world.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Ghasemi, a fellow member of the scientific board of the Research Center of Humanities and Cultural Studies, said the articles focus on the three major fields of anthropology, epistemology and environment. The articles also feature Prof. Nasr’s views on the contemporary crises in the world and the stance of the Islamic philosophy in this regard. Hussein Nasr (born April 7, 1933) is an Iranian University Professor of Islamic studies at George Washington University, and a prominent Islamic philosopher. He is the author of many scholarly books and articles. Nasr is a Muslim Persian philosopher and renowned scholar of comparative religion, a lifelong student and follower of Frithjof Schuon, and writes in the fields of Islamic esoterism, Sufism, philosophy of science, and metaphysics. Ghasemi further added that she has completed compiling her book and will presently have it published by the research center in the Iranian book market./149
