(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) On Monday, a Bahraini court handed sentences between 10 and 15 years to 19 Bahrainis. Another 7 Bahrainis were sentenced to 5 years, and 2 others to 3 years. The sentences issued on Monday 20th January 2013 add up to more than 200 years and indicate the authorities’ insistence on the security solution.A Bahraini lawyer mentioned that the court had removed a defendant from the court on Tuesday when he complained of torture and electrocution.Sayed Hadi Al Musawi, Head of Liberties and Human Rights Department in Al Wefaq, said, “The sentences indicate the authorities want to continue in the security solution. These sentences delay political solution”. He added, “The very same violations that were committed in 2011 are being perpetrated today in a different manner and on an escalating pace”./149
