Bahraini Opposition: Real Democracy is the Choice of People, Crazy Security Solutions will Fail

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - In the final communiqué of Friday’s mass rally titled “Freedom, Dignity, Democracy”, the National Democratic Opposition Parties in Bahrain emphasized that the demands of the people are clear, and their nonviolent approach will never be abandoned throughout their struggle to democracy. “The real democracy is the only choice the people have taken. There is no way to wash hands of the basic unquestioned rights where the people must be the source of all powers”, the opposition added in the final communiqué announced at the end today’s mass rally west of the capital, Manama.“The nonstop harsh security measures reflect the weakness of the authority in comparison with the rationality and patriotism of the people. Such measures perpetrated by the regime are merely desperate attempts to circumvent the prodemocracy popular movement and its rightful 3-year struggle towards achieving real democratic transition in Bahrain. The crazy security measures will ultimately fail, as local and regional experiences have proved this fact. The people of Bahrain will not lose their steadfastness and strong patience in the face of all repression and brutality. The people insist to reach their dream of better democratic future and this is something inevitable”.The opposition, also, underlined that “The only way to resolve the political crisis in Bahrain is to truly respond to the clear demands of the people. There is no other way round but to stop the crazy security practices and to put an end to the absolute confiscation of the people’s say. Managing the country with tyranny, injustice and dictatorship has produced nothing but corruption, destruction, backwardness, sectarianism and looting of public funds”.“The level of demands defined in the Manama Document is sensible and balanced. Any solutions that dispossess the basic rights of the people will be unacceptable. The people are determined to live with dignity and human rights in a state of real democracy.
