(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - People in Bahrain on Saturday held congregational prayers in a number of destroyed mosques.The mosques have been destroyed by the Al Khalifa regime during the Bahraini uprising, olamaa.net website reported.Sheikh Meytham Salman, who is in charge of religious freedom in the Human Rights Center of Bahrain, said 36 Shia mosques have been destroyed by the regime.He said destruction of these mosques is a clear proof of sectarian tendencies in decision makings in Bahrain.Salman said the international community considers the demands of the Bahraini nation as legitimate and believes that fulfillment of these demands is a solution to the racial and sectarian conducts that the people of Bahrain are suffering from.He went on to say that transition from dictatorship to democracy will institutionalize national identity in Bahrain, an identity that integrates all ethnic sectarian, and political tendencies.Bahrain has been the scene of uprising since mid-February 2011. The Al Khalifa regime launched a brutal crackdown on the peaceful protests and called in Saudi-led Arab forces from neighboring states. /129
