(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Secretary General of Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly (ABWA), Hojjatol Islam Val Moslemin Mohammad Hassan Akhtari in his interview with IRNA underscored fatwa (religious decree) issued by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei against building nuclear weapons and said this religious decree should be approved in the United Nation so as to avoid any vandalism in the world. The relgious cleric underlined the followers of different devine religion also should regard the religious decree as a basis against the pursuit and possession of weapons of mass destruction. Most of those countries which used the foregoing weapons are not familiar with the Islamic teachings and doctrines and up to here did not understand the depth of Supreme leader Fatwa. “Based on the Islamic rules and teachings any pursuit and possession of weapons is Haram ( not allowed in Islam),” said the religious cleric stating that no country can is an exception no matter what excuse they give. On February 22, Ayatollah Khamenei said the Islamic Republic considers the pursuit and possession of nuclear weapons “a grave sin” from every logical, religious and theoretical standpoint. The Leader described the proliferation of nuclear weapons as “senseless, destructive and dangerous,” adding that the Iranian nation has never sought and will never seek atomic bombs as the country already has the conventional capacity to challenge the nuclear-backed powers./149
