(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - According to Al-Wefaq website, some sources have recently reported moves by Al Khalifa regime to start diplomatic relations with the Zionist regime. There have been no official reactions by Bahraini government to these reports. Meanwhile Bahrain’s Deputy Foreign Minister Hamd Al-Amer has regarded the Zionist regime as Bahrain’s new friend. He cited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks against Iran in his Twitter page and said Israel is the new friend of Bahrain. He also republished an article by a Zionist analyst that predicts Persian Gulf states may come to a kind of agreement with Israel over Iran’s nuclear program. Bahrain’s opposition groups have condemned the deputy foreign minister’s move, describing it as an insult to Bahraini people and a move against the constitution. They said such measures by Bahrain and other Persian Gulf states will only add to instability in the region and spread of political crises and political and sectarian disputes./149
