(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Muslim community in Malaysia has been told to be aware of the seriousness of threats to the faith in various forms in this country including Shiite teachings, pluralism, liberalism and so on.
Extremist anti-Shia Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom claimed these negative factors could easily influence those who do not have strong religious knowledge, especially the youngsters.
"This situation will certainly endanger the country as youngsters are the most important asset that will determine the future of the country," he said when opening a discourse titled "Strengthening the Faith: Facing the Liberalism and Shiite Threats", yesterday.
He said the government hoped efforts to combat attacks on the faith could be handled together by all parties.
"Government agencies, non-governmental organizations, mosques, and suraus as well as individuals can all play their respective roles in countering the threats," he said.
