The Bahraini regime targets the political assistant of Al-Wefaq’s Secretary-General

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - On Monday 16th September, heavily armed forces handed a summon to the family of Khalil Al Marzooq, the Political Assistant of Al-Wefaq’s Secretary-General. The summon requested he appears at Budaiya police station on Tuesday, giving no details.Al-Wefaq said its Secretary-General’s Political Assistant will attend as the summon requests although it is legally incorrect. Al-Wefaq stated that this summon is an escalation and targeting of political action in Bahrain.Al-Wefaq warned that using retaliation and provocation to deal with political action is not acceptable. Such practices will only result in more anger and persistence to achieve democratic transition and build a state of justice and democracy. Provocative practices will undermine efforts for solution in Bahrain./129
