Lebanese woman narrates story of Hezbollah

'Hezbollah, Politics and Religion' is the title of a book penned by Sa'ad Amar Gharib which reviews the activities, foundation and campaigns of the Hezbollah militant group from an impartial perspective.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Lebanon's Hezbollah is a religious, political movement which has attracted many observers in politics, political sciences, strategic studies and Middle East studies in the past three decades.

Most of the books, written about the group, share similar views; a perfect organization controlled by the Islamic Republic of Iran, as some others believe that it pursues terrorist activities under the supervision of Iran.

Unlike other publications in this area, 'Hezbollah, Politics and Religion' casts a novel look at the organization and tries to assess its strength and weaknesses in an unbiased context. The work's writer is of Lebanese origin who was born and grown in the UK.

The book is arranged in 8 separate chapters. Every chapter considered almost all the background social circumstances in details that led to the formation of organizations like the Hezbollah.

Resistance against occupation in southern Lebanon, fighting the Zionist regime, fighting the West, preserving national identity and words of Islam are some of the topics the book considers with regard to Hezbollah.

The book is now translated into Persian by Mohammad Ali Ghasemi. The Persian rendition of the work is now made available in the Iranian book market by Khorsandi Publishing Institute.
