(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Liberties and Human Rights Department (LHRD) in Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society has made an appeal to the International Red Cross to intervene for the release of the detainee Nadiya Ali and who is in late third-trimester of pregnancy.
The LHRD has sent a letter to the Red Cross pointing out that Nadiya has been in jail for more than 87 days now and lacks the basic necessities for pregnant woman, such as psychological, social and security stability. She will very soon deliver her baby by Caesarean section, according to her family.
The LHRD said keeping Nadiya in jail all this time is a punishment for her and her unborn baby, adding, her accusation cannot be compared to the accusations of killings made against personal from the regime forces and who had been released.
