Nigeria: 28 Shiite Children Memorised Quran in Kano / Pics

KANO, Nigeria (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Twenty eight Shiite students of  Fudiyyah Primary School in Kano city of Nigeria memorised the Holy Qur'an his year.

The graduation ceremony of the  students comprising of 13 females and 15 males took place on Sunday the 18th of August 2013 at Filin Polo ground, Kano. Thousands witnessed the event.

The guest speaker Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky delivered his address to the gathering. He started by explaining the significance of fasting period which he described as School of Learning. He hoped that lessons learnt during the period should be retained and continue to be put into practice.

The leader also congratulated the students for memorising the Holy Book at tender age, noting that as the number of memorisers increases each year, it brings hope to the Ummah which goes to show that Islam will one day lead the Ummah.

The leader called on the students and the Ummah in general towards holding to the teaching of the holy Qur'an and the Ahlulbayt as declared by holy Prophet (PBUT).
