(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Bahrain’s Shia leader Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassem criticized Al-e Khalifa regime’s recommendations for the Egyptian government. In his Friday prayers sermons on August 16, he pointed to Bahrain foreign ministry’s recommending the Egyptian government to respect freedom of expression and the right to peaceful demonstrations, saying that the Al-e Khalifa regime must first reform itself and do what it is asking the Egyptian government to do.“People want you to do what you have advised Egypt’s government to do. Can you do that?”He underlined that governments are the representatives of people and thus must respond to people’s demands.Sheikh Qassem further warned that a civil war is far worse than a war between two armies. He stressed that achieving security has one way and that is acknowledging nations’ right to determine their fate. Both Egypt and Bahrain have been the scene of uprisings against the two counties’ ruling regimes since 2011. /129
