(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Bahrain is the homeland for all”, Sheikh Ali Salman, Al Wefaq National Islamic Society Secretary-General, said in a YouTube message yesterday. “This patriotic concept needs to be built on unquestionable human rights and legal foundations. We mean justice, equality, the people as the source of all powers and excluding all forms of degradation of human dignity and human rights in Bahrain”.“The peaceful pro-reform uprising has being exposed to many turning points since it erupted on February 14th 2011. In each of them, the people of Bahrain have proven their patriotism and Islamic unity. The people repeatedly insist they deserve to enjoy a real democracy”, Salman added.“Today, at this important stage in the people’s struggle, we strongly emphasize our adherence to the nonviolent framework and our refusal to any kind of violent acts from all sides. We will always take the peaceful means to achieve our legitimate demands”.Al-Wefaq Secretary-General also reiterated the trust in the people of Bahrain to continue their struggle until achieving a state of freedom, dignity and human rights for all Bahrainis. “The desired future will provide all citizens, men and women, with the opportunity to participate in structuring and developing a truly civilized Bahrain, where no repression, exclusion nor discrimination against citizens takes place”.
