(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - This is according to Ali Al-Reza who is in charge of Indonesia’s pavilion in the Quran and Culture of Nations Section of the 21st International Holy Quran Exhibition. He said despite the distance between Indonesia and Palestine, people of Indonesia are well aware of the developments in Palestine. Al-Reza added that Indonesians are against relations with the regime of Israel and have staged rallies against Israel. “One of the reasons Indonesian like the Islamic Republic of Iran is Iran’s stance against the Zionist regime and its support for the Palestinian nation,” he stated. He noted that the International Quds Day has a special status in Indonesia and people take to the streets on this day to show their anger toward the Israeli regime. Elsewhere in his remarks, Al-Reza pointed to Quranic activities in his country, saying that children start learning the Quran at an early age. He said in some parts of Indonesia like Surabaya and Makser there are Quran memorization schools where children learn the Quran by heart in a systemic way. He stated that Surabaya is a religious city with many Islamic seminaries where prominent Muslim scholars of the country teach Islamic sciences. Al-Reza further referred to Iran’s annual International Holy Quran Exhibition, saying that it could be a model for other Muslim countries./149
