Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Husseini has underscored recurrence of rumors about Iranians reading a varying version of the holy Quran, saying that the country is printing a million copies of the holy Quran to be released on other countries during Ramadan to tackle the myth.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - According to the public relations and information department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Husseini has said that the ministry is determined to release copies of the holy Quran in various countries of the world in different languages.

As he said, one million copies of the holy Quran will be published during Ramadan in various countries in a cause to tackle fallacies about Iranians reading a varying version of the holy Quran.

He further called on Iranian citizens to donate their unused copies of the holy Quran to the 21st International Quran Exhibition so that the copies can be transferred to others who may lack access to a copy of the book in their houses.

The exhibit is running at Tehran's Grand Imam Khomeini Prayer Ground with focus on Quranic Lifestyle as stressed by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the best way of creating a Quranic civilization.

The fair will run for a month, mostly during Ramadan.
