(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Bahraini opposition bloc within the British capital, London, has announced its intentions to mark the International Day Against Torture that coincides on the 26th of June each year, by organising several events within the period of 24-29 June 2013.A source within the Bahraini opposition bloc has stated that the events will be organised with the participation of the families of some of the imprisoned symbolic leaders, who have been detained by the Bahraini authorities for more than two and a half years. The events will also be in contribution of British members of parliament, political activists, jurists, and delegates from international human rights organizations.A source has pointed out that the first day of events, on the 24th of June, will include special interviews conducted by Redress with the families of the detained. There will also be a press conference in the British Houses of Parliament on the second day of events, on the 26th of June. On the evening of the 26th and 27th of June the Bahraini opposition bloc will be organising two seminars discussing the conditions and suffering of political detainees in Bahrain. This shall shed some light on the magnitude of violations committed by the Bahraini authorities against prisoners of conscience.The bloc shall be hosting a dialogue session on Friday the 28th of June to discuss effective methods for bringing about accountability and no impunity to human right rights violations in Bahrain.As for the last day of events, on the 29th of June, the Bahraini opposition bloc shall organise a protest outside the British houses of Parliament demanding that the British government will refrain from protecting the Bahraini regime, and to insist that more pressure should be put against Bahrain in accordance with international conventions and treaties that prohibit the use of torture and violations degrading humanity.The Bahraini opposition bloc in London invites every one to actively participate in these events in order to save all political prisoners, and to hold those responsible for their suffering accountable./129
