(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Protests in Bahrain continue to take to streets on a daily basis. Over the past four days only, more than 40 protests have taken place in different areas across Bahrain demanding democratic transition and an end to the long decades of dictatorship. On the other hand, the regime continues to attack these protests with toxic teargas and firearms (birdshot), causing injuries among protesters. Six injuries were reported during the past four days. However, the regime forces crackdown on protests usually expands to include the residents in a collective punishment by firing toxic gas canisters on houses. In these last few days, 18 areas were subjected to the regime’s collective punishment. One house went on fire after the forces had thrown teargas canisters inside. The home raids and arrests have not stopped either, 16 houses have been raided while 19, including one child, have been arrested.Four protesters were tortured by the forces. They were severely beaten before they were thrown in a far-off area from the village where a protest took place. On top of all mentioned the regime has shown no indications to stop the disrespect to and attacks against Islamic places of worship and mosques and religious freedom. One place of worship was raided by the forces and vandalized in a very provocative way as holy stones were thrown in toilets./129
