Bahrain opposition makes a proposal for fair representation in the dialogue

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Sayed Jameel Kadhim, the spokesman for the National Democratic Opposition Parties on the dialogue preparatory table said the opposition submitted a proposal to correct the current unfair representation on the table.Kadhim mentioned that the opposition team to the table objected to the baseless of the dialogue’s spokesman. He also mentioned that the opposition has not signed six previous meeting records because they did not reflect what went on in the sessions. He said any outcomes can only be considered final if they are signed by the opposition.The opposition team declared its refusal towards the continuing statements made by the Minister of Human Rights and which link the dialogue to the Government’s cancellation of the visit of the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture. The opposition team demanded the partakers in the dialogue preparatory table to clearly condemn the ongoing systematic torture and the Government’s failure to implement the recommendations of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry.In the session, the partakers discussed the participation of Al-Asala’s representative in the dialogue after it had walked out.Kadhim affirmed that the opposition is prepared to continue in the dialogue until a solution for a permanent stability is reached./129
