Shiite school of Fudiyyah conducts graduation ceremony in Zaria / Pics

The graduation ceremony of the Shiite students of Fudiyyah Primary/Secondary school took place on Saturday 15 June 2013, at the Premises of the School in Zaria.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The graduation ceremony of the Shiite students of Fudiyyah Primary/Secondary school took place on Saturday 15 June 2013, at the Premises of the School in Zaria.

The ceremony was attended by students, parents, teachers as well as the general public. It was ceremony to mark the graduation of elementary students as well students of the Secondary section.  The secondary section comprises of students of Junior Secondary School (JSS) who are preparing for entry into senior classes, and the students of  the senior section of the School who are preparing to gain admission into universities and other higher institutions of learning.

In his speech, the Guest speaker Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, described the importance of moral training for students; he said in the schools run by the Islamic Movement emphasis are paid not only on education itself but also towards producing God-fearing individuals,  character molding and spiritual training in order to produce dutiful servant of Allah who will be of benefit to himself, society and the religion of Allah in order to have the consent of Allah.

Speaking to the graduating students, the leader of the Shia Islamic Movement said their completion of elementary and secondary level of education is just a beginning and urged them to pursue further studies with diligence and seriousness.

While addressing the teachers, Sheikh Zakzaky said the teachers have shouldered a great responsibility as the students handed over to them for education is a Trust. He therefore call on them to take good care of the Trust.

Speaking to parents the Sheikh called on them to keep on assisting the School Administrators towards the successful running of the School.

At the end of the programme gifts and trophies were presented to students who excelled by Sheikh Zakzaky. Cake were also cut as part of the ceremony.

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria has over  hundreds primary/secondary Schools in Northern Nigeria. Some of the Schools have Qur'anic memorization section.
