Bahrain Forces Arrest an Opposition Youth Group

The Bahraini authorities announced on Thursday that they have arrested leading members of an opposition February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition and accused them of forming a clandestine cyber-group linked to Iran and Hezbollah.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - “The main participants in the criminal acts, who are members in the opposition, have been arrested,” the interior ministry said.

In details, the ministry accused the cleric Hadi al-Mudaressi, who lives in Iraq, of leading and supporting the group morally and financially.

It also named 11 of those arrested, saying that they participated effectively in the coalition inside Bahrain.

The ministry statement named 13 more members, who live abroad and support the opposition, according to the Bahraini authorities.

Bahraini opposition, however, vowed to continue the demonstrations despite the authorities’ violence.

The authorities alleged that the opposition groups move between Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran to gain moral, military, and financial support.

In turn, Iran denied categorically these allegations.
