(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Omran al-Zohbi, the Information Minister of Syria, said in a new statement that the Prime Minister of the neighboring country Turkey, Recept Tayyip Erdogan, is completely “terrorizing” his own people and Omran al-Zohbi called on the Turkish Prime Minister to finally resign from his post as the head of the Turkish state.
The Information Minister of Syria also stated in this new statement that the Turkish Prime Minister Recept Tayyip Erdogan is “leading his country in a terrorist way” and that Erdogan is also “destroying the civilisation and achievements of the Turkish people”. Omran al-Zohbi gave this statement yesterday and demands the Turkish Prime Minister to resign, which is just understandable after the events in Syria and also after the events in Turkey.
A Prime Minister who willfully hosts armed terrorists and religious fanatics “in his” country in order to terrorize his own people and the people of a neighboring country to serve a foreign agenda and questionable own worldly goals has to resign, there is no real question about this.
Turkish police forces have clashed with innocent crowds of anti-regime protesters in the Turkish city of Istanbul (Taksim Square). The regime forces have used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the peaceful Turkish protesters from the area but also thousands of honorable Turkish people have meanwhile took to the streets in other cities of Turkey and even in the capital Ankara. These anti-government / anti-regime protesters took to the streets in Mugla, Izmir and Antalya in support of the protests in Istanbul, too.
According to the Syrian Minister of Information Omran al-Zohbi, the Prime Minister of Syria`s neighboring country Turkey, who is involved in the terrorism against the Syrian nation, is “disconnected from the reality” due to the fact that “he suppresses peaceful demonstrations” and allows the use of tear gas against his own innocent people who were just protesting peacefully.
Turkish police have arrested more than 900 people, while 79 were injured during two days of protests, the most sustained anti-government outburst for years.
Protests grew out of anger at police crackdown on a peaceful sit-in by people trying to protect a park in Istanbul's main Taksim square on Friday.
Riot police pulled back on Saturday after being accused of heavyhanded tactics, but there were fresh clashes near the offices of the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the capital Ankara.
Riot police with electric shock batons chased stone-throwing demonstrators into side streets and shops in the Kizilay district.
There were also protests in the Aegean coastal city Izmir.
During the day, crowds of protesters in Istanbul chanting "shoulder to shoulder against fascism" and "government resign" marched on Taksim Square in one of the largest demonstrations against Erdogan's government.
He said 26 police officers and 53 civilians had been hurt, one of them seriously.
