(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Shia Islamic Movement in Nigeria commemorated the birthday anniversary of Ameerul Muminina Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH) at Husainiyyah Baqiyatullah Zaria on Thursday the 13th of Rajab 1434 (23/5/2013). The celebration attended by large number of people from and near. The Leader of the Islamic Movement Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky delivered a lengthy speech on the auspicious birth of the best of creatures after the Prophet(SAW) while congratulating the Muslims especially the Followers of Ahlulbayt (AS) on the birthday of the great Imam.He started by explaining the exalted position and the miraculous birth of the Imam as reported by Jabir Ansari from the holy Prophet (SAWA), saying that the pure Imam was born by pure parents whose lineage has been from pure and Muslim parents since Adam.The Sheikh spoke further on the exalted status of Abu Talib thus clearing misconceptions and wrong views held by enemies of Ahlulbayt (AS). In accordance with traditions reported by Jabir, the leader also recounted the whole incidence of Abu Talib meeting with Mathal- a devoted servant of Allah in which Mathal gave glide tidings of the birth of child by name Ali who will be pure, helper and Wasiyy of the Prophet (SAWA). The Leader also explained the prayer of Mathal to Abu Tallib in which heavenly food was miraculously brought to Abu Talib (AS) and from it the loin of the creation of Ali was made.The birth of Imam Ali inside the Ka’aba was explained by the Leader, an event which has never occurred to anyone before him.On the outstanding qualities of Imam Ali the leader outlined some of them adding that Imam Ali has no equal in all aspects of human qualities such as Justice, bravery, knowledge, piety, benevolence, etc. He outlined some of them:-- He was born inside the holy Ka’aba and stayed in for 3 days-an event which the Quraish had noticed.- His conception in the womb of his mother was from the heavenly food brought to his father by the Prayer of great servant of Allah by name Mathal as reported by Jabir.- He lived under the care of the Prophet since childhood and never separated him upto his martyrdom. He was even together with the Prophet , when the Imam was 12, during the first revelation in the cave and heard everything except that he is not a Prophet.-The Prophet had never assigned Ali under the leadership of any of the companions.- Ali Knows all the verses of the Qur’an, where they were revealed and their purposes. The Qur’an described Ali ‘…..and the one with whom is the knowledge of the book’. Ra’ad 43. The verse refers to Imam Ali as the one with whom is the knowledge of the book’-Ali is the proof of Allah on earth and only those who love and paid allegiance to him will be permitted into heaven. Thus, the Wilayah of Ali is the key to paradise; his love and wilayah are conditions that must be fulfilled before one is allowed into paradise.- Love of Ali a scale is the scale of differentiating a believer from hypocrites, just like the Prophet (SAWA) who is the scale of knowing a Believer and Unbeliever.- Ali is the best of creatures after the Prophet (SAWA). He status is even above that of other Prophets (SA)-His love is sign of belief while hate of Ali is a sign of hypocrisy.At the end of the programme a prayer of the great Imam was read by the leader followed by closing supplication.
