(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Sheikh Issa Qassim is the Bahraini opposition's spiritual leader, especially al-Wefaq Association. Last week, Bahraini regime security forces broke into his house, vandalized it, and apprehended him, assaulting a religious figure.
In this context, Bahrain witnessed more than 70 heated demonstrations from different areas and villages with the slogan "We are peaceful to those peaceful to you [Sheikh Qassim], and fight those you fight you."
Protests are to be held on Friday in Duraz, the area where Sheikh Qassim was forcibly taken from his home by security forces.
The Bahraini opposition parties, chiefly al-Wefaq Association, described Sheikh Qassim as a red line not to be crossed and slammed the regime for crossing too many red lines, like destroying mosques, insulting religious rituals, and killing.
Al-Wefaq further called for "international investigations to probe all the crimes and irrational and inhumane irregularities that the regime inflicts."
