(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Mohammad Babaei, executive manager of Iran’s Center for Publication of the holy Quran, stated that although the Egyptian version of the holy Quran follows the writing rules of Egyptian Arabic, it is not specifically intended for Egyptians and will be published for Moslems in countries like Libya, Tunisia, Sudan and, of course, Egypt.
As he said, the publication of the version will begin next month in Lebanon.
As he said, printed copies of the version have been sent to the center for approval. The version of the holy Quran is different from other versions in the writing style and signs used in Egyptian Arabic for showing vowels of the Quranic words which are more understandable for Arabs in countries like Sudan and Egypt.
Elsewhere, Babaei stated that 500,000 copies of the new version will be published for Arabic countries. Furthermore, 500,000 copies with translations into 10 languages will be published in Beirut for other countries of the world.
