(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A delegation from Al Wefaq National Islamic Society visited Republic of Iraq and participated in the "International Islamic Conference for Dialogue" in Baghdad.
Al-Wefaq delegation was headed by the Secretary-General Shaikh Ali Salman, with the head of judiciary in al-Wefaq Shaikh Jassim al-Khayyat. Under the title of "All Believers are Brothers", the conference started its sessions on Saturday 27th April 2013 and took two working days. Many delegations from Arab countries and the world were actively participated.
On the sidelines of the conference, al-Wefaq delegation to Iraq met many figures and officials there, most notably, the president of Sunni Endowment, Dr. Shaikh Ahmed Abdulghafoor al-Sameraie.
The delegation, also, met the representative of Muslim Brotherhood in the UK, along with a number of religious scholars and Ulama in Baghdad from different sects. It met religious scholars from Turkey, Yemen and other countries. Also, it met with Dr. Khaled Abdulwahab al-Mulla, the president of Jama'at Olama al-Iraq (Iraqi Religious Scholars Group).
The delegation, also, met minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Jordan, Dr. Mohammed Nooh, Ayatollah Shaikh Mohsin al-Araki, the Secretary-General of World Society for Reunifying Islamic Sects (Majma' el-Taqreeb Bain al-Madaheb al-Islamiyah), the former Iraqi Prime Minister Dr. Ebrahim al-Jaafari, along with other figures.
