Grand Sheikh of Al Azhar is to visit Bahrain

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Grand Sheikh of the Al Azhar University, Sheikh Ahmad Muhammad Al Tayeb is about to visit Bahrain, following his trip to Saudi Arabia.Making the remarks among reporters, the seasoned religious cleric pointed to the foreign-backed brazen movement in this country and said the plots hatched by the enemies aimed at annihilating governmental bodies, plungging the country into uproar. The religious scholar underscored that the very schemes designed by enemies try their utmost to enfeeble Muslims’ country, but no doubt, they are fallen short of such dream. Sheikh Al Tayeb, in recollecting the role of Al Azhar University backed to time of ousted government of Hosni Mubarak, underscored the educational body never hemmed in by gubernatorial regulations and did not let any foundation predispose it to move in a certain way. The well-versed scholar pointed to his coming trip to Bahrain and said during the visit he is scheduled to hold talks with Sunni and Shia scholars. “Al-Azhar put its concentrated efforts for conserving unity among Muslims against the baneful schemes concocted by the enemies,” said the religious scholar. Sheikh Al Tayeb contended that the University is not under the spell of any political party and does not support any side against the other, since it parted its realms of activities from politics. In another line of argument, He pounced on Saudi officials’ unfounded allegation against Iran in what they name intervention in Arabian countries’ affairs.End item/ 149
