(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The National Democratic Opposition Parties in Bahrain said Bahrain deserves real democracy in a state of justice and dignity. The current dictatorship represented in the longest serving government in the world and which is rejected by the political majority of the people must end, they added.
The opposition parties' held the fourth consecutive mass protest march on Monday 15th April, demanding for democratic transition. In Monday's final communiqué the opposition parties stressed that the current expropriation of the people's right cannot continue and the people are the source of all powers and therefore must run their country far from official monopoly and authoritarianism.
The National Democratic Opposition Parties denounced the Court of Appeals' ruling to close down the Islamic Action Society (Amal) and perceived it as a retaliative and politically-motivated verdict that reflects the regime's failure to coexist with dissent and tolerate opposition political action and is therefore desperately attempting to silence voices of dissent.
Amal society, as well as other societies, have been working for the legitimate rights of the Bahraini people, the opposition parties said adding that the people's struggle for justice will continue under all circumstances. The opposition parties warned of the hard lining mentality and use of violence against citizens and the suspicious fabricated incidents that further complicate the political scene in Bahrain and lead to serious consequences on Bahrain's future by wasting opportunities for a political solution.
Over the past two years the Bahraini people have proven to the world its strong persistence to peacefulness and forbearance that has gone beyond all expectations. The Bahraini people have been known for this and only those benefiting from violence act in contradiction with this nature and not the people of Bahrain who are raising legitimate and just demands.
The official violence and terror cannot force the Bahraini people to stop their demands movement to build a state of democracy and justice and end the bitter eras of tyranny and dictatorship.
The opposition parties stated that the people of Bahrain have made huge sacrifices, dozens have died, thousands arrested and wounded and dismissed from jobs and universities and mosques have been demolished by the regime along with other violations that the regime perpetrated without any moral or legal or religious deterrent whatsoever. The people of Bahrain will continue their struggle until they truly become the source of legitimacy and the people are the source of all powers.
The nation's wealth and resources are being controlled and used to suppress the people to prevent their just demands, this situation of tyranny must be put an end to, the opposition parties stated.
