(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The regime in Bahrain has escalated its suppressive security campaign against ongoing pro-democracy protests. The regime forces arrested during two days more than 24 citizens and one child within a series of arrests it has been actively conducting recently.

Most of these arrests took place during house raids conducted in different areas of the country including the capital Manama.

The forces opened fire on citizens protesting for democratic transition in Bahrain attacking them with birdshot and toxic gas grenades causing injuries among, some protesters sustained injuries to the eye.

More than 40 houses were raided in just 10 hours in Sitra island, south of the capital Manama, terrorizing the inhabitants.

This comes within the regime's ongoing practices that violate the humanity and conscience by using excessive violence and force against the citizens while at the same time claiming a desire for dialogue.
