(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - On Friday, 8th March 2013, regime forces opened fire on the citizens in Al-Daih village west of the capital Manama. Citizens were participating in the third day of martyr Mahmood AlJazeeri's funeral, who was targeted and murdered by regime forces on the second anniversary of the revolution. The forces used excessive force and extreme violence against the mourners.
As part of their plan in preventing any citizen in participating peacefully in any funeral march, mourners were brutally attacked by the regime forces. The body of the martyr was illegally and arbitrarily detained for 12 days preventing his burial and funeral.
A number of areas witnessed afternoon protests denouncing the bloodshed by security forces and the continued killings and oppression, violence and terror against peaceful citizens, were all brutally suppressed by regime forces.
Attacks by regime forces were reported to have caused different injuries between citizens due to the excessive use of force plus the collective punishment on the citizens in their areas.
The forces blocked main streets with armored vehicles and police patrols. They deployed extensively in the surroundings of some villages to terrorize citizens and to prevent them from practicing their natural right in peaceful assembly and freedom of expression and by closing villages with security barriers.
