Lessons from the Great Prophet unveiled

The Prophet’s empathy, flexibility, peace-seeking and faith should be held up as an example for professors and university students as they read the Lessons from the Great Prophet, said Ayatollah Taskhiri, the Supreme Leader’s advisor in world of Islam affairs at the unveiling ceremony of the book.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Addressing the unveiling ceremony of the Lessons from the Great Prophet, the Ayatollah stated that each chapter of the book is put together by a fabulous scientist and an Islamic expert with colossal historical competence that happens to be leading the Islamic nation. A ceremony was held on Monday morning, March 4, 2013, at Allameh Amini Hall of Tehran University in the presence of book’s compiler Alireza Mokhtarpur, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, Deputy Minister of Sciences, Research and Technology Ali Asghar Pur-Mohammadi, head of the Representative Foundation of the Supreme Leader at Universities Hujatoleslam Mohammad Mohammadian, Hujatoleslam Panahian and Mohammad Hussein Rajabi, historian and researcher of the history of Islam. Taskhiri further added that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei has put together lessons from the Prophet’s life in his speeches addressing elites and university students which are gathered in the book. The lessons are necessary for human life, he argued. “The Supreme Leader has described the Prophet’s Bethat (being conferred prophethood by God) is the greatest event in human history,” added Taskhiri. “All other prophets acted as preludes to Bethat,” he added. “The Leader has also discussed some of the activities of the Prophet against enemies of the Islamic society in his speeches.” Later in the ceremony, Hujatoleslam Mohammadian asserted that the book reveals three important points about the Supreme Leader’s scientific and cultural personality. Perfect mastery of Islamic references and topics, credibility of historical topics, and profound scrutiny of historical events are some of the most prominent features in the Leader’s scientific personality that the book reveals, he argued. The Supreme Leader’s representative in universities went on to add that the Leader’s stress on learning in the society is one of the most crucial lessons that the Leader has underscored in his speeches recorded in the book. One of the features of the book is that it discusses why Prophet Mohammad has been the target of almost endless desecrations by non-Moslems throughout history. Lessons from the Great Prophet is the title of a new book encompassing statements of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei about the personality, life and disposition of the Prophet Mohammad. Released by the Islamic Revolution Publications, the book is useful for all readers and human societies. The statements were made by the leader mostly in meetings with the elites and officials of Islamic countries. The book is themed at sketching the human perfection and happiness based on Islamic principles with a view on the life of the Prophet. The Islamic Revolution Publications has released the work in 280 pages. As many as 1,000 of its copies have been released in the Iranian book market.End item/ 149
