(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - For two days, the regime in Bahrain forcibly keeps in its custody the body of a youth citizen who was killed by regime forces with a direct shot. Since his death of severe injury on Saturday 22nd February till yesterday, the concerned officials refuse to deliver the martyr's body to his family for burial. This uncovers the shameful level of the official recklessness when it is come to citizens' lives. The sufferings of the people mean nothing to the regime. Its forces are directly involved in the horrible murder of the martyr when they dilebratly targeted him with a gas canister rifle at close range on Thursday 14th February 2013.
The regime insists to go beyond all human rights standards and values. It is disgraceful and immoral attitude when the regime refuses to hand the family the body of theIraq son, the martyr Mahmood Al-Jaziri (20 years old). Al-Jaziri was deliberately killed by the regime forces as documented in footages. The forces had directly shot at his head one week before his death. The regime unjustifiably and immorally continues to keep the body, showing no respect to any human rights, local or international norms and laws.
The murder of Al-Jaziri by the regime forces was during peaceful protests marking the anniversary of 14th February pro-democracy revolution in Bahrain. It revealed the level of official terror and repression which is being hostilely perpetrated against the peaceful protesters.
It is not the first time the regime detains the bodies of its victims. It did the same with the body of the citizen journalist, the martyr Ahmed Ismael for more than 12 days. The body of the martyr Yousif Muwali was detained by the regime for 11 days. This behavior proves the systematic killing, hiding crimes, impunity, immoral and inhumane dealing with victims' families.
