Bahraini Regime uses unconventional torture tactics

Members of Bahraini Al-Wefaq revolutionary group has blasted continuous al-Khalifa torture policies in prisons, especially using electricity in torture.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Al Alam reported that Sadiq Rabea accused the Bahraini Regime of attempts to justify the crackdown on peaceful demonstrators, and believed that arrest of members of the alleged group and discovering cache of weapons was a new conspiracy by al-Khalifa regime.

Rabea added that  "governance in this century, through police state, distorting people’s image and describing them as subversive and saboteur groups is inconsistent with realities, and every government should come to power through the ballot box.”

Rabea pointed to al-Khalifa regime tactics for using dialogue as a tool to suppress the Bahraini people and said "al-Khalifa regime is not seeking a strategy for going out from this crisis by peaceful means. The regime officials, while talking about taking the country out of the crisis, continue the crackdown on Bahraini people with shotguns, tear gas and other violent means.”

He also pointed to the suppression of the people attending the funeral of Hussein Al Jazeeri, shot dead by al-Khalifa security forces last week. "All roads leading to the funeral of this martyr were closed, so people could not attend the ceremony, and number of people participating in the ceremony was injured during the crackdown of the funeral.”
