(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A number of people gathered outside the parliament in the Kingdom of Sweden on Friday 15thFebruary to express solidarity with the Bahraini revolution and bring the cause to Swedish decision makers' attention to support the legitimate demands of the Bahraini people.
The assembly was called by Bahraini activists in Sweden, and came within the Bahraini opposition's call to commemorate 14 February an International Day to Support Democracy in Bahrain. Swedish, Arabic and Muslim activists participated in the assembly to express their support to the peaceful revolution in Bahrain.
The demonstrators drew attention to reveal the media blackout against the demands of the Bahraini revolution, calling upon the international community to act to stop the ongoing violations perpetrated by Bahrain government departments against its citizens.
And because the first martyr killed by the regime's army was a woman, Bahraini women actively participated in this assembly as have the women always proved their strong presence in all pro-democracy protests inside Bahrain.
In a related issue, Bahraini observers considered the Swedish ambassador's meeting with the secretary-general of Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society in Emirates a positive initiative toward further openness with the opposition, stressing on the importance to further pressurize the Swedish decision makers.
