(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The book was unveiled in a conference arranged at the university by Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization in a bid to counter the growing extremist movements in the Sulawesi region. The conference was held in the presence of a large number of Indonesian students, professors and religious figures like Saeid Aghil al-Monavar and Dr. Arshad, and Iran’s cultural attaché to Indonesia Mohammad Ali Rabani. The conference began with unveiling of the Moderate Islam written by Dr. Mostman Arshad, head of Shazeliyeh sect and speaker of the Assembly of Elites of Sulawesi island. In an address, Rabani highlighted the greatness of Islamic mysticism, and stated that given its vast potentials, it can safeguard the religion [and subsequently the society] against extremist acts driven from clan dissensions in the Islamic Ummah.
