(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The statement said “Bahraini women have made huge sacrifices and suffered from the regime’s brutality, killings, arrests, torture, suppression and exclusion. The women in Bahrain witness various crimes perpetrated by the regime mercanaries on a daily basis against their husbands, brothers, fathers and sons, and been victims many crimes themselves.”The Bahraini woman has presented a very civilized and sophisticated example and was always a leading dynamo in the revolutionary movement, but was faced with the most outrageous violations amongst all countries of the Arab Spring revolutions for democracy.The women in Bahrain will continue to play their political and revolutionary roles and will express their opinions despite the repression against dissent.Sadly, a number of active and innocent Bahraini women are still behind bars for political reasons and reasons relating to freedom of expression and opinion. In conclusions:·We affirm that the struggling Bahraini women will be present in street protests and political activism contributing to the pro-democracy movement in Bahrain.·We announce 17th March a day for the struggling Bahraini women. This was the day the first female martyr, Bahiya al-Aradi, was killed by the army.·The Budaiya highway roundabout will be called after the martyr Bahiya al-Aradi who was shot very near to this roundabout.·We plea to all women organizations in the world to adopt the cause of the Bahraini women who are subjected to outrageous abuses by the regime within its systematic policy to face dissidents demanding democracy and freedom. The final communiqué of the women protest stated that Bahraini women have paid a high price in the long Bahraini struggle for democracy, rights and freedoms, probably the highest in all battles between democracy and dictatorship in the world.
