(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Speaking with IBNA, Lahroudi stated that she prepared a new rendition of the supplication into English in a bid to offer its rich content to those who may happen to be alien to Arabic and know only English. She said that the first idea of the job sparked while she was visiting Iraq where pilgrims of Imam Hussein’s shrine from other countries had difficulty understanding the content of the supplication. Ziyarat Ashura is a Shi’a religious text ornamented as a supplication by Imam Bagher (5th Shi’a Imam) conveying reverence to Imam Hussein and repugnance towards his enemies. Imam Hussein was mutilated in the Battle of Karbala along with many of his family members and companions.End item/ 149
