Who is behind jamming Al Alam TV frequency?

Al Alam TV frequencies in Nile Sat and Hotbird Satellite providers have been jammed in Syria and Bahrain.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Ahmad Sadat, Al Alam Arabic news TV network, told reporters on Tuesday that the network has still been facing the jamming problem, and added that new information on the sources of the jamming, the country behind it and agents implementing the jamming operations has been revealed.

He asserted that jamming operation has been carried out from Syrian-Turkish borders under the control of rebel fighters, and that technology and facilities have been recently provided for the rebels through Turkish-Syrian borders.

Sadat also believed rebel fighters and Al Qaeda-affiliated forces as incapable of such operations, saying that according to data, some news media belonging to Arab Sheikhs, active in Syria, are responsible for technical support of the jamming, and they have used their technological advantages to send strong noise on Al Alam TV programs when news on Syrian developments was being aired.

“Reports by Damascus people indicated that since last week, watching Al Alam programs has experienced difficulties,” he said. “Jamming operation was targeting Syrian TVs, but with the Syrian Channels going off the air, it was targeting Al Alam TV.

Al Alam has been exposing the false stories spewed by western and Arab media by fresh news and documentaries, especially, when Al Alam has focused its programs on Damascus suburbs, where Syrian government forces had operations, with massive wins against the fighting rebels.

He also provided comments on jamming with Bahraini source, and said that in Bahrain also, Al Alam programs have been facing strong jamming , and according to information from inside Bahrain, jamming has been carried out using facilities from Britain, and with close cooperation of MI6 agents.
