Report: What does embarking on the demolition of the "mosques" again in Bahrain means –despite the official documents-?

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Hamad Town, Karzakan - Alwasat, Al Wefaq, Olamaa Islamic Council

The gift from Bahraini authorities to the delegation of the High Commissioner for Human Rights was so generous this time, as usual. it received the delegation with crushing Alhodh Aljaf wards on one hand, and re-demolition of mosques on the other hand, as some consider it so (Bright) proving how the authorities’ disregard for the rules of the rights which the internationalist delegation has came to check on, while others see that it has mysterious goals, and surrounded by political confusion in the official circles.

It is incredible (logically at least) in any country claiming respect for human rights, and is preparing to host the internationalist rights delegation, to dare committing such follies and confusion motions through flagrant violations of basic human rights, while it is expected from them (though modestly) to cover up part of what as perpetrated by mercenaries hands of attacks on people in their bodies, symptoms, as well as their beliefs, and recently the wave of summonses, arrests and threats for preachers, speakers and heads of Ma’atams in Ashura season.

Until now, what final image that UN delegation has is unknown, which said opposition political associations (Alwefaq, Wa’ad, Alwahdawi, Amal, Alekhaa, Almenbar Altaqadomi, and Altajamo’a Alqawmi), in a statement issued yesterday evening (Sunday) that the met him. According to a member of Bahrain Observatory for Human Rights Abdulnabi Akri, Commission delegation's visit aims to inspect the situation in Bahrain and meet the parties concerned with human rights, which include government and political associations and civil society organizations, victims and their families and a number of lawyers.

In an amazingly scene, Bahraini regime mercenaries proceeded again on the demolition and removal of a number of mosques in Hamad Town and Karzakan, which people built after the demolition by the regime (38 mosque) during the period of national safety last year.

The head of the municipal council for the northern region, Mr. Ali Aljabal, that «bulldozers has proceeded removing the walls and built parts of the following mosques: Alsajjad in Karzakan (Lozi Block 1018), Fadak Zahra in roundabout 2, Abu Talib in the roundabout 19, and Imam Hassan al-Askari mosque in the roundabout 22, since Saturday morning, December 1, 2012.

He said that «There is no objection on removing cabins and irregularities in various areas, but that should be according to the law and regulations in the frame of notifying the violator and implementing public information campaigns firstly, then remove it by the municipal in the right ways that preserve everyone’s rights, not by sabotaging and infringing as it clearly seemed in many mosques and temporary worship cabins in the northern region and other areas, surprising the focus in applying that law on mosques, ma’atams and worship cabins without other.

Aljabal pointed that «the adoption of alternative sites for some of the demolished mosques is contrary to the obvious provisions of legitimacy according to Jaafari jurisprudence as these mosques in fact devoted to God Almighty and no one can replace other land, as well as the violation of that to the law in presence of correspondences and official documents that prove the legal adoption of some demolished mosques sites as lands dedicated for mosques.

For its part, Al-Wefaq reported «The demolition of these mosques, passed without any formal procedures, it did not pass or consult any municipal or civil destination and there is no Justification, in position provoked people feelings and rose serious and deeply resent of those removals». Al-Wefaq explained that the removals came without any previous notification or warning , as it has applied for places decided to be mosques and there are official documents for its building and construction or in the process of completing, reminding that there are legal materials which provide on not damaging and ensure the transfer of border to be removed properly.

Al-Wefaq considered the embarking on re demolition of mosques that were demolished in the national safety, devoting to what was claimed by the report of the fact-finding committee of the serious errors set in the demolition of mosques, seeing that this procedure cannot contribute to the desired political solution but is of things that cut methods of solution and increase the documented abuses to suppress freedoms, particularly the freedom of religion that has been threaten, raided and destroyed and cannot be seen as accessible and available with what we see of non-stop violations before and after all the rights steps and procedures that are meant to correct human rights situation which affects citizens.

Aljabal said that «the majority of the ten mosques that build has not been started yet have been customized by the Ministry of Housing, as the majority located in Hamad Town, and others have certified ownership documents before the demolition. Imam Hassan Askari mosque located in Hamad Town owns a building permit and its construction maps have been completed before it was being removed on April 15 / April 2011.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs and Endowments has announced in November 19 that «List of worship places mentioned in the report of the fact-finding committee comprised thirtieth facility, which is about twenty-eight mosques, a Ma’atam, and one tomb, and that five of the lands have been allocated and ownership documented, as well as six built on privately owned lands, and nineteen on government-owned lands.

According to its official statement «the lands in Hamad Town that was allocated for mosques by the state: Imam Sajjad mosque, Salman Mohammadi mosque, Baqee’a mosque, Al-Askari Mosque, Abu Taleb Mosque, Imam Jawad mosque, and Fadak Al-Zahra mosque, where there was guidance for the completion of all procedures relating to registration, ownership documentation, and the adoption of the proposed budget for the projects implementation.

People of block (1018 Lozi), said that «they were surprised by to the demolition and dredging machines protected by mercenary forces, removing away their mosque which built only by stacked ground with red bricks and carpet, and walled with single row of bricks, at nearly 2 pm. People rush to the location and went to the armed security forces, and when they asked them about the reason, as the location "holds a formal sign of the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and bearing the name of the ministry and Jaffaria Waqf Directorate, the sign said that it is a project of building Imam Sajjad Mosque," they answer that: we do not know anything, our job is to provide security only”!!

People continued, «We went to question a young man dressed in civilian clothes and a civilian car, who is police said that he is the responsible, when we asked him he said that he is envoy from the municipal to the elimination process implementation, we asked: Do you hold a permit for that? He denied, and said: go to the police station, roundabout 17, we said: You said that municipal commanded for the demolition, so it is not the police station business, he replied that the command issued from the police station, then we asked about his name and the name of the commander, but he refused to give us any information, saying only: go to the police station and give your objection there.

People were realy upset of demolitions that took place again, because it is the second time that these mosques were infringed, and without involving or consulting anybody -civil or municipality-, and that this act came despite a statement of the Ministry of Justice which was issued not more than 10 days ago that indicated the intention to close the file of houses of worship which were demolished in the national safety period.
