The main roads to Muharraq were closed on Saturday, accompanied with an unprecedented wide security deployment in roads leading to Samaheej village, where the funeral of the martyr Ali Abbas Radhi,16, who passed away died in a police chase on his way to Friday prayers in Duraz.
Masses attended the funeral of the martyr Radhi chanting and demanding punishment for murderers and an end to violence and official terrorism which is taking citizens' lives with no deterrent.
Sitra villages had also been under clampdown for days. Masked militias in plain clothes backed by the forces spread out, the night raids continued along with the various violations against citizens in the area.
In a separate incident, an injured man from the village of Barbar is in critical condition. News went round that he is suffering amnesia after he was hit on Friday with a teargas canister shot directly to the head, as the forces had used force to prevent worshippers from reaching the weekly prayer in Duraz. The regime forces tend to use tear gas as live ammunition aiming at protestors' bodies.
Protests continued in many areas in the country demanding democracy and the forces continue to face them with brutal repression and violence.
Areas which witnessed protests were: Sfalah, Mihazza, Al-Qurya, Al-Eker, Maameer, Nuwaidrat, Al-Daih, Jidhafs, Al-Kawara, Tubli, Samaheej, Al-Musala, Janoosan, Al-Dair, Al-Duraz, South Sihla, Dar Kulaib, Bri and Manama.
Sitra has been under an unannounced state of martial law, with presence of armed vehicles, military barriers, checkpoints, along with house raids and collective punishment.
A group of citizens were arrested in Mihazza and brutally attacked by the forces. The forces helicopter also participated in the siege and night raids.
Despite the siege and alert in the area people were able to march in a large protest to mourn the martyr Ali Abbas Radhi. They demanded punishment to the killers.
Many areas of Bahrain also witnessed protests and candle marches mourning the martyr and disapproving the unjust siege on Mihazza in Sitra Island.
In the series of attacks against places of worship, a Mataam in Nuwaidrat was attacked and its windows broken, noting that this the place was previously attacked a number of times by police forces and militias.
