Bahrain regime forces prevent mourners from reaching funeral of the martyred teen

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Regime forces in Bahrain imposed a suffocating security ring Saturday morning, around Samaheej, home of Ali Abbas Radhi, 16, who was martyred last Friday due to the regime's brutal and repressive methods to prevent citizens from reaching the weekly Friday prayer behind leading cleric, Sheik Issa Qassim.

Checkpoints and military roadblocks were set in streets that led to the area where the funeral of the teen was to start, causing big traffic jams in highways around Muharraq island, East of the Capital Manama. The forces had deployed on main streets to terrorize citizens and prevent them from participating in the funeral.

The regime denies its responsibility of the teen's death in attempt to slip out of accountability on its ongoing killings and use of excessive forces and violence against unarmed citizens. The number of martyrs has gone above 100 and that is in less than two years.

What's more, the regime even prevents mourners from reaching the funeral, this is a strip of conscience act and an outrageous violation to human rights.

The forces had prevented worshipers from reaching a weekly Friday prayer in Duraz through force, and used violence against those who insisted to attend the prayer, when they stepped out of cars at security roadblocks and went pedestrian. The whole governorate was under security siege and main streets were packed with traffic.
