(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Thousands of Muslim protesters have taken to the streets in the South African city of Johannesburg to voice their outrage at a US-made film which insults Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).About four thousand angry demonstrators gathered outside the United States consulate in the South African city on Monday, holding placards with slogans against the blasphemous movie.The South African government had banned the demonstrators from assembling in front of the US mission in the country.Outrage has grown globally over the anti-Islam movie followed by the sacrilegious cartoons of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) published by French weekly Charlie Hebdo on September 19 in yet another proof of the West’s Islamophobia campaign.Protesters demand that Washington apologize to the Muslim world over the film. They also call for the punishment of those behind the film.Muslims in Iran, Turkey, Sudan, Egypt, Yemen, Tunisia, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Iraq, Morocco, Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, Nigeria, Kenya, Mali, Nigeria, Australia, Britain, the United States, France, Belgium, and several other countries have held many demonstrations to condemn the blasphemous movie. Protests were also held in Kashmir and the Gaza Strip.The anti-Islam movie is said to have been made with the help of Zionist Jews donations totaling USD 5 million. /129
