(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Addressing a group of followers in Bahrain Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassem noted that state terrorism was affecting all people on all levels, stressing that rights groups had to continue their fight for justice and equality. The head of the Secular Council stressed "If we were to have an elected government then we would achieve all reforms and all changes which the people demand, without violence or unrest. The question now is – Does the regime want that?”On Friday in Diraz, Sheikh Qasim said "The reality of Bahrain’s autocracy is an absolute fact and no citizen can escape it. No citizen can at this moment in time claim that he or she is in charge of his or her destiny or involved in the state’s decision making process, as the regime rules alone. Bahrain’s regime is now politically omnipotent.”Ayatollah Qassim added "People in Bahrain have no control over their lives, the regime can kill or save whom it wants. It controls the nation’s wealth, its thoughts ….everything. Bahrain is living under the joust of a dictatorial political monster.”Ayatollah Qassim emphasized "The regime believes its people are slaves, it wants Bahrainis to become its obedient cattle, denying people their very human nature. But when the will of the despot and his slaves collapse, it is always those who stand for freedom who will prevail as they do not fear death.”Moreover, "If Freedom, Liberty and Democracy are foreign notions to the regime, words it uses to calm the international community while cracking-down on those who demand it, the regime needs to realize that its days are counted as Bahrain will not rest until its goals are met. People’s faith will never be shaken as they stand for what is right. No amount of humiliation or violence will ever stop Bahrainis. We saw how despite the UN human rights panel’s recommendations Hussam Al Haddad and Ali Hussein Nema were killed by the Security Forces.”Sheikh Issa Qassem added: "We saw how the regime killed young martyr Mohammed Mushaima who was unjustly imprisoned and deprived of medical treatment.”/129
