Bahrain: Brutal Repression in 19 areas with excessive use of Birdshot Pellets

The security forces continue to use the internationally banned weapon, Birdshot pellets on Sunday which had resulted in killing the child Ali Neama last Friday when he was targeted at close distance. He was then left to bleed to death.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) -  Bahraini security forces continue to use the internationally banned weapon, Birdshot pellets on Sunday which had resulted in killing the child Ali Neama last Friday when he was targeted at close distance. He was then left to bleed to death.

Protests took to streets in 19 areas across Bahrain that day, but were rained with tear gas and birdshots, resulting in injuries among the peaceful protesters. Three citizens were arrested. Civilians' houses were raided and their properties vandalised, while some households were beaten. Households in these areas were also attacked with lethal gasses thrown and fired into houses.

People marched with candles in hands to mourn Ali Neama in several areas across Bahraهn and demanding those involved in the murder to be held accountable while insisting on their rightful demands no matter the price.

In Ma'ameer, people protested to demand accountability to killers and criminals, and democratic transition. The forces use excessive force against protesters.

The following areas witnessed  protests: Diraz, Sanabis, Bilad Alqadeem, Demistan, Karzakan, Shahrakan, Malkiya, Barbar, A'ali, Sitra, Mhaza, Alkharijiya, Ekir, Ma'ameer, Nuwaidrat, Nabih Saleh, Janussan, Saar, Jerdab.
