(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Almost 400 people staged a demonstration in front of the US embassy building on Thursday and chanted anti-US slogans, asking the US government to prosecute those involved in the production of the insulting film that disrespects Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
Brief clashes erupted between police and the protesters outside the embassy.
The protesters then marched to the Google office in Bangkok in order to submit a letter asking for the ban of the provocative film on Google and YouTube.
Also, tens of thousands of anti-US protesters in India took to the streets in central Kolkata to condemn the anti-Islam film.
Similar demonstrations were held in the Indonesian province of South East Sulawesi on Thursday, with angry protesters shouting anti-US slogans and forcing a franchise American restaurant to close.
The Muslim world has been boiling with anti-Western sentiments over the past week over the blasphemous film that insults Islam’s holiest figure, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), and attempts to depict Islam as an oppressive religion.
Meanwhile, the flames of Muslims’ wrath were fanned after French weekly Charlie Hebdo published provocative cartoons of the prophet (PBUH) on September 19.
Muslim protesters across the globe demand the US government apologize to the Muslims and punish those behind the blasphemous act.
