(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Al-Manar correspondent, Abdurrahman Abaza, reported that thousands of protesters gathered on Tuesday at the embassy in protest over a film deemed offensive to the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) which was produced by extremist Copts resident in the US.
The correspondent said that the protesters called for the expulsion of the US ambassador in Cairo, as they held the Islamic flags: “"There is no God but God and Mohammad is the prophet of God."
The protesters warned the US against insulting the prophet, as they demanded that all the churches in Egypt to condemn the film.
“It’s unacceptable insult which the Muslims will not accept by all means,” one protester told our correspondent.
“Muslims and Christians are taking part in this protest in a bid to refuse the insult against the Muslims,” another protester said.
Abaza said that many churches across Egypt issued statements in which it condemned the film, as well as Egyptian Christian activists across the world who announced the refusal to such acts.
