(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - We shall never forget our martyrs’ one of the slogans of participants at the annual remembrance day of the six Qods Day martyrs who were killed twelve years ago ie in 2000 at 'Yan Mota, Kasuwar kurmi, Kano city Nigeria while conducting Quds Day rally by the then Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa kwankwaso.
Today, the total number of those martyred on Quds day in Nigeria has reached eight.
The remembrance day took place Friday the 19th Shawwal 1433 (17-09-2012), with visitors from various parts of Nigeria. Among the special guest at the occasion include Mal Abdul Hameed Bello, the Chairman Shuhada foundation of the Shia Islamic movement in Nigeria, Mal Ibrahim Muhammad Potiskum and the special guest Shaikh Muhammad m Turi.
Mal Yusuf Musa Dakata the Kano zonal coordinator of the foundation highlighted activities of the foundation in Kano zone with challenges ahead urging for dedication and steadfastness.
Mal Abdul Hameed and Shaikh Turi while delivering their speeches at the occasion reminded members of the movement of tasks and responsibilities on members of the Movement which include remembering them while we pledge to remain steadfast on the path of Allah(T), Our daily prayers for the souls of the martyrs, visiting to their graves and also taking care of their love ones.
For those responsible for the crimes and atrocities Shaikh Turi reminded them of the gravity of the crimes they committed for shedding the blood of innocents.
Various prizes were distributed to those that were instrumental in supporting the various activities of the foundation.
Mal Ibrahim Muhammad gave vote of thanks on behalf of the foundation with a closing prayers from Shaikh Turi.
