(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The regime in Bahrain has continued its reliance on the security approach to stop the popular protests. It banned a peaceful rally organized by the opposition parties in Bahrain. Despite a prior notice was submitted, according to the law, the regime arbitrarily blocked all the ways to the Capital Manama early in the noon dividing the capital into security squares filling them with its forces who used all kinds of weapons against protesters. Opposition leaders headed the demonstrations and were subjected to regime repression in which many suffocation cases among them were resulted.
The opposition parties salute the people who were actively participated and salute their commitment to the peaceful civilized way of protesting despite the excessive brutal suppression perpetrated by regime forces. They stressed that by such popular insistence, the people will definitely reach their legitimate demands.
The opposition parties warned the regime about the consequences of the systematic suppression arrogantly adopted against peaceful protesters. At the same time, they stressed that their strategic options as stated in Manama Document are uncompromised and the people have the right to exercise their right of freedom of expression anywhere; especially Manama as a first place.
This is an uncompromised right and the opposition will continue calling for rallies in Manama regardless the suppression that will be waiting there. Such suppression confirms that the regime in Bahrain is a dictator despite the cosmetics that all loyal human rights organizations, which do not have a public representation, have used to maintain the regime's image to the international community but it failed instead.
The opposition parties, also, demand that human rights council in the United Nations which is supposed to have a special session about Bahrain in the middle of the current month September, to take punitive measures against the regime for its ongoing suppression and its disrespect to all international laws and treaties, especially the human rights council recommendations for the regime to stop its brutal suppression. Instead, the suppression against peaceful protests has been increased.
